The following data are from the year 2016:
  • In the case of the mobile operating systems, the forces are distributed similarly uneven. Google claimed Android, about 84 percent of the market share.
  • In the second place, the Apple iOS is. Over the years Apple has increased its market share steadily and has stagnated for some time at around 14.8 per cent share of the market.
  • Windows Phone and Blackberry OS are on the verge of extinction. Windows Phone only has a market share of about 0.7 percent.
