LaTeX Distribution to install
To begin you will need to install a LaTeX-Distribution. Here MiKTeX provides.
- Download the "Basic MiKTeX Installer" and open the file.
- Follow the instructions of the Installation.
- So only the really required packages are downloaded. You want to download packages, go to the start menu, click "MiKTeX" > "Maintenance (Admin)" > "Package Manager (Admin)". Now select the packages you want to install and press the Plus sign in the top left.

To LaTeX documents, create to can, you will need a Editor such as "Texmaker".
- You open the program after Installation "Texmaker".
- You are now starting a new project "file > New". A basic framework for the LaTeX Code you can access via "wizard" > "wizard for a new document". Here you can select your desired font size or the page size.
- Between the \begin{document} and \end{document} write your LaTeX-Code.
- Save the file under any name as the tex file.
- Go in the tool box of the right bar in the second drop-down to the point of "PDFLaTeX" and click on the arrow to the left. In the same folder as your tex-file is saved, you can now find the PDF file created.
