To set up Yahoo Mail in Thunderbird
In order for you a new Yahoo email with the Mail program Thunderbird can retrieve your Yahoo Mail mailbox first, with the Software link. We will show you how to do it.
- Open Thunderbird and click on the left margin, on "Local folders". Then select the item "E-Mail" that you create under the Heading "New account" can be found. (Alternatively, you can left-click on an existing account and then "create New account" > "E-Mail" to select.)
- In the next window click on the "Skip and my existing E-Mail address". Then enter your name, e-mail address from Yahoo Mail and your password from Yahoo Mail. You also decide whether your password should be saved or not.
- Press Enter and wait until Thunderbird has all loaded. You will then be asked whether you want IMAP or POP3. In the case of IMAP, the Emails from Yahoo Mail are stored on the Server, with POP3 on your Computer. You decide for you to better method, and click "Done".
- Then, you find the mailbox as usual on the left side and can control it accordingly.
