Silent Install for VLC Media Player: preparations
The VLC Media Player via Silent Install to install, you need first of all is the installation file for VLC.
- Once the file on your Computer has been downloaded, you can use the command prompt to start. This allows you to either simply via the Windows search, find, or via the Run window using the command "cmd" directly.
- In the command prompt, you must open the file location of the installation file.
- For this purpose, you can easily open with the command "cd" (without the quotes) in a sub-folder. You should have the file, for example, in the sub-folder "Downloads" are stored, so you only need to enter "cd Downloads" and press Enter to confirm. With "cd .." to go one folder level up.

Enter the full file name with file extension. Then a space, then "L=1031 /S" (without the quotes) and press Enter to confirm.
- By the way: L=1031 is the language of the program. 1031 is German and in 1033, you can also select English.
- As soon as you press Enter, is VLC installed and can be accessed in the connection as usual.
