To record with the VLC Media Player
- Open first the VLC Media Player and then click on "view".
- Now select "Advanced controls" so that the Record Button is displayed below the Videos.
- You will then need to specify the destination path: Click on "tools" > "settings" > "Input & Codecs" > "files". Here you have to enter the path, or are looking for.
- When you play a file or a CD / DVD with the VLC Player, press anywhere on the red Record Button to begin recording. Another click on the Button to stop the recording.
- The recording you find, stating the date, time, and source file name in the specified folder.
