First, you need an installation medium, the Installation can be started. You can do this either via CD or USB-Stick. Due to the higher data transfer rate, we recommend that you to the USB-Stick.
- Download the program Universal USB Installer download.
- Download the Image of Ubuntu as a 32-Bit version or a 64-Bit variant.
- You now start the Universal USB Installer, select Ubuntu in the drop-down list. Then navigate to your downloaded Image of Ubuntu and select the USB Stick you want to use.
- The Universal USB Installer is a boot created bootable installation media for Ubuntu.

Ubuntu alongside Windows to set up: Installation
Now you need to plug in the USB Stick or the CD in your Computer and restart your computer. The Installation is mostly automatic and is designed to be intuitive.
- Boot after the reboot from the CD or the USB Stick and wait till the Linux Installer is loaded.
- First, select your language.
- In the next window click on "install Ubuntu".
- Then select "Ubuntu alongside Windows" install.
- In the next window you should have the partitions automatically in Ubuntu to create and only the size manually set.
- Then Ubuntu will install itself. You need to specify only a user name and a password.
- From now on, you will be in the menu of the "Grub" when you restart your Pc. Here you can select each Time whether you want to start Ubuntu or Windows.
