Mac OS X: signature in PDF insert

With your Mac OS X, you can insert, within a few steps of your signature in a PDF file.

Signature in preview

Before you can insert your signature in a PDF document, you need to digitize your signature first.
  1. Open the pre-installed Mac App "preview".
  2. Select by clicking on "preview" in the program toolbar, the sub-item "settings". Alternatively you get there by using [cmd]+comma key.
  3. Select the tab "signatures". There you can create one with the Plus icon a new signature.
  4. You write on a white sheet of paper and hold it, as described in the iSight camera of your Mac.

Signature in PDF insert

After you have digitized your signature, you can use this now, and in PDF documents.
  1. Open your PDF document in the "preview"App.
  2. You can then choose from the program's tools > Annotate > signature from the toolbar.
  3. There you will find your created signature, you can insert with a click. Then, you have the option to put the signature to the correct place, and resize.
