With Facebook Messenger calls: The prerequisites
So that you can make phone calls with friends using the Facebook Messenger, you must meet some requirements:
- Both users must have the latest Version of the Facebook messenger installed, either for iOS or Android.
- You need a stable Wi-Fi or 3G connection. Note that such calls consume a large part of your traffic. So your data can be used up volume very quickly and the costs or speed throttling.

You have installed the Apps, you can use the phone function.
- Android: Open the Messenger App and you tap in your contacts list and click the phone icon next to the contacts that start the call.
- iOS: here you can open the Facebook Messenger. Then, tap the contact you want to call. In the case of the contact information, tap on "Free call" to start the call.
- In both Apps, then switch to a call Screen. Here, you can enable, among other things, the speaker, mute the microphone, or the Messenger to hide.
