Windows XP computer name change
- Click on "Start" and the right mouse button on the "my computer".
- From there you can select the "properties". A new window will open.
- At the top, click the tab "computer name". Here you can enter a description of the computer. However, that is not the Name of the computer.
- To customize, click on the Button "Change".
- It is a new window in which you can enter the new computer name will open.
- Click on the Button "OK", confirm the query with "OK" and close the previous window also with "OK". Now you can restart the Computer in order for the Change to take effect.
