Windows Phone is not recognized - you can do

If your Windows Phone from your Computer is not recognized, this can have various causes. For example, the cable may be defective, the drivers are not properly installed or there is something not right with the Software on the Smartphone. In our practical tip we will show you what you can do to fix the Problem.

USB connection between Windows Phone and Computer check

A possible cause for this is that the phone is not detected, it can be a faulty USB cable or faulty USB port.
  • Try another USB-cable, a cable break or loose contact to exclude.
  • Clean the USB socket on the Windows Phone. This is best done with compressed air. But you can also remove gently with a toothpick, dust and dirt.
  • You also test a different USB-socket on your Computer, or connect the device to another PC, to ensure that there is no Problem with the PC exists.

  4. Confirm that you want to remove the device driver.
  5. Then disconnect your Windows Phone from the PC and plug it in again. The latest drivers should automatically be installed.
