Windows 8: Bluetooth can't turn on - what to do?

If in Windows 8, your Bluetooth will not activate, this can have several causes. We have put together some tips and hints for you.

Bluetooth won't activate: install Correct driver

It may be that you have a driver error or an incorrect driver with the result that they are not able to enable Bluetooth.
  1. In the Windows 8 tile menu you simply type "device driver update" and click on the found program.
  2. You can open the Bluetooth entry and click with the right mouse button on the Hardware ordered.
  3. Select in the open menu "update driver software".
  4. Confirm the search, then "search Automatically for updated driver software" and if necessary, follow the instructions.

Bluetooth will not work: Changed Hardware?

Maybe you have replaced the Bluetooth Hardware or a Bluetooth Adapter connected.
  1. You install the adaptor always use the supplied installation media.
  2. You can go to in case of problems, again in the device Manager.
  3. There you have to click with the right mouse button on the Bluetooth showed-Hardware, and select the "search for Hardware changes".
