Windows 7 will not recognize microphone: 1. Microphone check
- Check if the micro is plugged in correctly. Often simply the inputs to be confused. The input for the microphone is always pink.
- Plug the microphone in another Computer and try it there. It does not work, here, too, can be a sign of a Defect in the microphone.
- The microphone works fine on another Computer, there are probably incorrect settings the cause of the Problem. You can read more about this in the next paragraph.

- Open the control panel and click on the category "Hardware and Sound".
- Select "Sound", a small window opens.
- To do this, go to the "recording" tab, you will find there the microphone.
- Click with the right mouse button on the microphone and select the Option "Activate".
- Click below on the Button "set As default" and then click "OK". The microphone should now be ready for use.
