Defaultuser100000 folder – what its all about
On Windows, you can usually find Default, Public, and your own user folder in the Users folder.
- After a major update it can happen that an additional folder "Defaultuser100000" is displayed here.
- This is a temporary user profile that Windows creates during an update.
- Normally, this user profile is deleted again after a restart following an update.
- If this is not the case, you should check whether the folder contains personal files before deleting it.
- To do this, start the Command Prompt and enter the command “whoami”.
- If the system returns your correct user profile name, you can delete the folder.
- If you are unsure, you can simply ignore the Defaultuser100000 folder.
