What is KMSpico? This is what lies behind the tool
KMSpico is a software that “cracks” a number of Microsoft products and thus unlocks them without a code.
- According to the law, you are not allowed to use the tool because you are bypassing the softwares copy protection.
- If you find the subfolder "KMSpico" in the "...\%ProgramFiles%" folder, the operating system or the installed Office products may have been activated illegally.
- In most cases, your antivirus software detects the “KMSpico” subfolder and its contained files as malware.
- If you dont know where KMSpico comes from, its also difficult to say whether the tool is loaded with malware. You should therefore definitely remove KMSpico or not install it at all.
Danger of KMSpico: This is what you need to know
Antivirus software, such as Windows Defender, classifies KMSpico as a virus and tries to delete the software immediately. But is this really a danger?

- Nevertheless, the PC can be damaged by the tool. There are many versions of this tool available on the Internet, offered by different websites. Many are likely to be a virus that is provided to you as "KMSpico" and causes damage once installed.
- This puts your computer at risk because you cannot be sure that it is a safe version of the tool.
- You should avoid using this tool. On the one hand, so that you dont damage your computer, and on the other hand, because by circumventing the copy protection you are committing a criminal offense.
