- Position the mouse pointer first in the lower-right corner of the screen to open the Charm bar.
- Then click on "settings" and follow the Link "change PC settings".
- Choose the category "search and Apps" and then click "search".
- In the section "your search query" change the Option to "No personalized results from Bing" receive. This will prevent the Transmission of their location and the receipt of customized advertisements.
- You can also use it in the section "Bing web search", the slider in the "search suggestions and web results from Bing to retrieve" to "Off". In order to not only avoid the advertising, but restrict the Windows search on local computer.
The Internet search via a Browser is not affected by this setting, by the way. As you Bing from Internet Explorer, remove, read, in a further practical tip.
