Opera: speed dial export - how to

Do you want to secure speed dial from Opera, or transfer it to another Computer, you can export it. We will show you how to do this.

Opera: how to export speed dial

In newer versions of Opera speed dial is one of the bookmarks, and can only be exported along with these. To do this, proceed as follows:
  1. Open the Opera menu and click on "bookmarks" -> "show All bookmarks". Alternatively, press the key combination [Ctrl] + [Shift] + [B].
  2. Select "bookmark export" and specify a storage path and file name. Opera stores the bookmarks and the speed dial as an HTML file. Their speed-dial lists-entries in the section "Speed dial".

Unfortunately, there is no way to import only the speed dial in Opera. You need to import all the bookmarks to your entries in the speed dial restore:
  1. Open the Opera menu and choose "More Tools"- > "import bookmarks and settings...".
  2. Select in the drop-down list of "bookmarks HTML file", then click on the Button "choose file". Now open the HTML file with your bookmarks and the speed dial.
  3. Unfortunately, Opera is a sort the speed dial entries will not independently in the speed dial, but rather copied them into the Bookmark-folder "Speed Dials". From there, you can move your bookmarks easily using Drag and Drop in the folder "speed dial".
