GPX-open files - how to
The easiest way to open GPX files in Google Earth:
- You can open Google Earth and go to menu "file -> Open".
- In the drop-down menu of the dialog window, select the file Format GPX (*.gpx, *.loc, *.mps) and select the file you want to open.
- In the following window of the "GPS data import" enable the options "lines for Tracks", "draw routes" and "adjust altitudes to ground height" and confirm the selection with "OK".

GPX-files to edit with these programs it works
In Google Earth, you not only import the data from the GPX file, you can edit the waypoint placemarks and Track paths, also.
- To do this, click under "places" with the right mouse button on the Element and on the PC, select "properties" or on Mac "get Info".
- Purely as Text you can create a GPX file in any simple Text Editor such as Windows Notepad or Notepad ++ to open and edit.
