If you use an alternative to Windows, the Linux Version of Lubuntu, you have surely wondered how you can create Screenshots. In the following practical tip we show you how to do it.

Lubuntu is designed for older and weaker devices, and is thus ideal for, for example, old Netbooks. The well-known Windows Snipping Tool is not on Board. However, you can take a detour via Screenshots. Here's how:
  1. You can call up the desired screen and press the "print" or "Print"button.
  2. Your Screenshot will be saved to a file in the user folder under /home/username as a png.
  3. To specific Windows or parts of your Screenshot to extract or image format to convert, just open it in an image editing program such as GIMP.
