Preparation: Windows a fixed IP to assign
Through Branding, you can only access the functions of the FritzBox, which switches your Internet service provider for you. With the following steps, you have removed the Branding of the FritzBox quickly:
- Disconnect the box from the mains and open it on your PC the start menu, as well as the entry requesting.
- Enter the command "FTP 192.168.178.1", however, do not press "Enter".
- Connect the FritzBox to the power and wait until the Power LED only flashes.
- Now switch back to the Run window and confirm with [Enter].

- To remove the Branding of the router, type "quote SETENV firmware_version avm". With the [Enter] key to confirm this command.
- If that doesn't work, type the following commands in succession: "qoute GETENV provider", "quote UNSETENV provider", "quote SETENV firmware_version avm", "quote reboot".
- After you have executed the commands successfully, you can exit the Tool with a "bye" and press the [Enter].
- The original System on the FritzBox to download, you need to finally, the FritzBox to factory settings.
- The Branding should continue to be available, try the Router Reset again.
