eBook-Cover change with Calibre
With the free program "Calibre" to manage your eBook collection. Calibre can handle a number of formats and runs on Linux, Mac and Windows. The eBook Cover you can download directly in the program.
- After the Installation, you choose a path for your eBooks. All imported books are stored.
- Under "add books" to import your eBook library Calibre. Then, select the eBook and click in the menu bar, click "edit metadata". In the field "cover image", there are several ways to change the eBook Cover.
- You can use "Browse" to either a custom image as the Cover or the Internet for suitable pictures. To do this, go to "the cover image to download". The program searches by default, four portals to meta-data. A prerequisite is that all the metadata are stored to the book. The portals can expand download in the settings next to "metadata". With "cover image" will get you a book cover with the Text of the first page. If you have found a suitable Cover, you can crop it directly in the program.
- Finally, you need to convert the eBook so that the new Cover is saved in the file. To do this, click in the menu bar, click "convert books". In the next window you can specify further settings include the output format or the Layout.
