What you can do: Black screen with TeamViewer under Windows
The black screen indicates that the TeamViewer service is not properly running. In the Following, we have compiled solutions for you:
- Check whether TeamViewer is in the exception list of the Firewall and, if necessary, of anti-virus software.
- You can also try to start the remote computer and then re-establish a connection. To do this, click "actions" on "Remote reboot".
- If you still have direct access to the remote computer, you can try to stop the remote TeamViewer completely and the service "TeamViewer X" in the services Manager (Start > Run > "services.to stop msc"). Then start TeamViewer and build the connection again.
- Make sure that the "Windows Remote Desktop"service is not running while you run TeamViewer. This can also be a cause for the black screen. To do this, open the Windows task Manager and look in the Tab "processes" to "Windows Remote Desktop". This is listed there, select it and click on the Button "end process" and then confirm by clicking on "end process".
- You may also have other programs use the Internet connection of the PC. You must therefore check whether, for example, Updates or Downloads to be downloaded, and if required, shut down all Background running programs in the short run the Windows task Manager.
