Synchronization - what does that mean?
- In the case of a synchronization data to be synchronized between two or more devices, and on the same date.
- So a synchronization is more and more about some of the Cloud services. But also about the Software on the PC devices and applications you can synchronize.
- An example: you use your calendar both on the Smartphone as well as your Computer. So you don't need to make any Change to each device individually, you synchronize the calendar to each other. Depending on the type of the synchronization can be done differently.
- You create a new appointment on your Smartphone, it will be transferred by means of an Online function on the calendar on the PC. Alternatively, the Changes are transferred only, if you plug in your Smartphone to the PC and the calendar on a Software to manually synchronize.
What is a Backup?
- In the case of a Backup the data will not be updated as the synchronization between the two devices, but only on one device backed up.
- A Backup serves as a classic way to secure your data in case of loss or damage. Backups can be created for both Smartphones as well as computers and store all your personal files. Thus, a Backup can be several Gbytes in size.
- An example is: Connect your Smartphone with your Computer, you can get your data with the associated Software on a Backup for Android or iOS securing. Your cell phone is lost or it must be by a damage re-installed, you can now install the Backup again.
- The Backup includes all your personal files and settings. To play the Backup, your Smartphone is the same level as that of the date when you created the last Backup.
