Android: Backup of Apps and data - so it goes

A Backup of your Android can be very useful: such A system image you can restore if there are problems with your Smartphone. You with different backup options eröfnen via App - either with or without Root-rights. We present both variants.

Full Android Backup with Root privileges

For a full data backup on your Android Smartphone, we recommend the App "Titanium Backup":
  1. First download the "BusyBox Installer" on your Smartphone. This is the only programs with Root privileges correctly.
  2. You will need to install "Titanium Backup".
  3. In the batch actions (see image) you can create via the menu "Backup" a complete data backup. To do this, select the Option "All user apps + system data save".
  4. In the next menu you can exclude individual Apps from the backup. After that, you just have to click on the green checkmark in the upper-right corner, and the Backup begins.
  5. The Backup you can install later by using the batch actions in the sub-item "restore" again. Note, however, that there are problems with the recovery process, if you are using a different Custom ROM than before use: After the flashing of an Android smartphone can System Apps of the old ROMs with the new operating system interfere. Android backup without Root-rights

Normal Smartphone users remains the Backup is also not denied: "My Backup Pro" does also work without Root privileges.
  1. Download "My Backup Pro" from the Play Store. When you first Start the App you must enter your Mail-address and password for the Online backup of your data.
  2. Click on the Button "New Backup" to create a new backup. First, select whether you only want to applications and media content (photos, music, etc.) or all data secure.
  3. After that, you can determine the location: whether on the local SD card or online using your E-Mail account is provided to you free.
  4. In "My backup" you can restore your backups easily later.
Data backup via MyBackup

In addition: Backup your messages using SMS Backup +

SMS and call logs are excluded from the backup anymore. There is the App "SMS Backup +"the messages with your Google Account synchronized.
  1. Install "SMS Backup +" and login with your Google account.
  2. By default all SMS, MMS and call logs in the Backup are included. You can save in the menu "Advanced settings --> backup settings" also the WhatsApp history and your contacts.
  3. Now, go in the Interface of the App on the Button "backup". Directly next to it you can get your Backup. You just have to click on "restore".
