Step 1: Avast on Ubuntu install
Note: Avast is no longer developed since the middle of 2014 for Ubuntu more. Currently, the program can, however, still install and update virus detection provide. A official Download it. The Download is at your own risk.
- Download first the installation file Avast for Ubuntu from UpToDown.com down.
- Open the directory of the file and start the .deb-file with a double click.
- Now the Ubuntu Software Center launches. Click on the "Install" Button and confirm any security warnings.

Step 2: Avast on Ubuntu enable
- The Installation has completed, click on the top left of the Dashboard and search for "Avast".
- You start the program, you will be prompted to enter a license key.
- Click on the Link and register. This is completely free of charge.
- The key you will receive via e-Mail. Hereby, the program can activate and use.
