Texts and formulas in a Excel cell, thanks to the Operators "&" and the function "TEXT" to concatenate. For example, like amounts in invoices, can be integrated without much effort directly in the Text.

Formula and Text in an Excel cell

  • In the text box, you must enclose the desired formula with the quotes and the "&"sign.
  • In a text field, for example, the invoice total and the tourists add tax directly, enter this formula: ="In the invoice total is "&TEXT(C1;"0,00")&" GBP 5% city tax ("&TEXT(C1/105*5;"0,00")&" EUR) included." (see Screenshot). In this example, the amount of the invoice is located in the cell C1.
  • The function "TEXT" should you forget, under any circumstances, as this completes the score of 13 to two decimal places.
  • Now you will receive based on the example of the Text: "In the invoice total 2500,00 EUR 5% tourist tax (119,05 EUR) are not included."
