You want to prohibit access to or editing of an Excel spreadsheet by other users, you can protect the file with a password. We will show you the settings for how this works.

  1. Open the desired Excel file and click top left on "file" and the Office Symbol.
  2. Here, select "Save as" and select the desired folder where you want to save the file.
  3. Do not click on "Save", but you go next to the Button on the Option "Tools" and select "General options".
  4. You can now set both a password for Opening, as well as for editing the file.
  5. Then click on "OK" and the password type in the words again.
  6. Then confirm again with "OK", is protected the table with a password.
