VPN connection in OS X Mavericks setup
You have received a file with the VPN settings, you can open them with a double click and then enter the network settings. There are all necessary import things automatically. This does not work, you have to make manually the settings:
- Go to Apple menu > "system preferences" > "network".
- Then click "configuration import" and find the file. You can confirm this once again with "Import".
You have not received the file, you can manually set up a new VPN connection:
- Call up first "Apple" > "system settings" > "network".
- Then select in the list of network connection services on the "Add" - > "connections" > "VPN".
- Enter a name for the VPN service and choose a type of VPN. This depends on to which network you connect to.
- You must now enter the server address and the account name.
- Then select "authentication settings" and enter your user credentials for the VPN network. This can be obtained from the Administrator. Then click on "OK" and "Connect".

To enable for your VPN connection, useful Tools, you need to determine only the appropriate setting in the system settings:
- Open the "system preferences" in your Dock and select the menu item "network".
