The volume of the hard disk under OS X Mavericks display
Using Disk utility you can check the volume of your hard disk. You will find detailed information about the available and used memory.
- Type in the Spotlight search in the upper right-hand edge of the keyword "disk utility" and then select the first hit. The Tool will find you, alternatively, in the folder "utilities".
- On the left side of your hard disks will be shown. Here you can select the desired volume.
- Now the information about the volume of your hard disk are displayed. See you later in your open window.
Of available and used memory
In this field, you will see some of the data on your volume. The number of folders and the total capacity are presented to you here. In addition, the occupied and free memory is displayed. The total number of your files you will learn in this window.
