Mac OS X: changing the keyboard layout - how to

In this practice tip, you will learn how you can change Mac OS X the keyboard layout. If you want to write Russian messages, you can set the following instructions of the Cyrillic keyboard.

To change the keyboard layout in Mac OS X

  1. You will find the necessary settings by clicking on the Apple icon in the status, and "system settings..." to choose.
  2. You can open the Icon with the caption "language & Region" in the upper area.
  3. A new window will open. Click on "keyboard".
  4. Select the Plus on the left below is the new keyboard layout from the list.
  5. Click on "Add" and then remove the previous keyboard layout by clicking on the appropriate language and the Minus Symbol.
