Mac OS X: how to change the language - so it goes

You have selected Mac OS X is the wrong language, you can change this at a later date. The following guide will show you how to do this.

To change the language in Mac OS X

  1. Click on the Apple icon in the status bar and select "system settings...".
  2. In the top bar and then "language & Region".
  3. Select under "Preferred languages", the Plus and select the new language in the menu.
  4. You will now be asked if you want to the language as the primary language of use. This may require you to confirm.
  5. Close system preferences and restart your Mac to apply the Changes.
