Mac: Library display - so it goes

The Library is in the newer OS-X versions on your Mac by default, hidden. Here we will show you how you can view the library. For this purpose, there is a unique and long-lasting solutions.

  1. You can open the Finder.
  2. You call in the taskbar menu "on the Go" bar and hold down the alt key.
  3. Select "Library".

  1. Click with the right mouse button on the Finder icon in the Dock.
  2. Select "Go to folder...".
  3. Enter in the input field the path to where the Library is and click "Open". Normally the path is /users/username/Library.

Library folder with a Terminal command to make it permanently visible

  1. Start the Terminal.
  2. Enter the following command: chflags nohidden ~/Library
  3. The Library is now visible. With the following command you can hide them again: chflags hidden ~/Library
