System files you can see in the Finder on your Mac, if you have enabled the function in the "Terminal". In disk System folder and other hidden files appear. We will show you how it works.

System files in the Finder to see

To be able to see hidden files in the Finder, you need to work with the program "Terminal". Here you simply enter one of the following commands to view the files, or the display switch:
  1. Type in the Spotlight search at the top right of the keyword "Terminal" and select the first hit.
  2. All the system can see the files in Finder, enter the following command and press the Return key: defaults write com.apple.finder appleshowallfiles TRUE;killall Finder
  3. The display of the system to hide files again, type in Terminal this command: defaults write com.apple.finder appleshowallfiles FALSE;killall Finder and press Enter to confirm.
