To create a Screenshot of the entire screen, press the key combination [Shift] - [cmd] - [3].

You want to make a Screenshot of the active Windows, or other components, the Dock or the menu bar, perform the following steps:
- Press the key combination [Shift] - [cmd] - [4].
- Press the [spacebar].
- With the cursor icon (camera) select the part of the photographic Screen. Click once with the mouse button - the screenshot will be created.

To create a Screenshot of the entire screen, proceed as follows:
- Press the key combination [Shift] - [cmd] - [4].
- Keep the mouse button pressed and select with the crosshair cursor the area to capture. Then release the mouse button - the screenshot will be created.
Notes: The Screenshots are saved to the Desktop according to the following pattern: "screen shot [date] at [time].png". The appearance of the "command button" varies depending on the Computer. Possible labels such as "Command" or "Apple symbol". The so-called "propeller character", however, is always on the command button.
