E-Mail account in Thunderbird set up
- Download the latest Version of Thunderbird and install it.
- Start the program and select in the top left under "file" and "New" the Option "Existing email account". Alternatively, select directly on the home page, under "Accounts," "E-Mail".
- Enter your name, E-Mail address, as well as the corresponding password, and then click on "Next".
- Thunderbird now searches for the correct settings. In General, these will be found automatically. This is not the case, you need the data for the POP/IMAP/SMTP Server of your Mail provider.
- You now have the choice to manage your Mail account via IMAP or POP3. While there are some Differences between the two protocols.
- Then click on the Button "Finish" to set up your Mail account in Thunderbird.
