Change background before meeting starts in Google Meet
To set a background before joining the meeting:
- If a camera is available, see a preview - image before joining the meet.
- In the lower right corner there is a round symbol which you click on.
- In the pop-up window " Preparation " that now appears, switch to the " Effects " tab.
- Here you can either choose a template as a background or upload and use your own image .
- Use the plus symbol to select your own image. After selecting an image, you can upload it and it will appear in the list next to the templates.
- After you have chosen either your own photo or one of the templates , you can close the window .
- Now you can join the meeting with the selected background .
 
 Change background during Google Meet
If you want to change your background during the meeting, heres how to do it:
- In the bar below the meeting you will find a symbol with three vertical dots.
- After clicking on the icon, you will now see the item " Apply Visual Effects ".
- Templates appear here again as possible backgrounds. You can also use the plus icon to select your own image as the background.
- To set an image as background in Google Meet, simply click on it and it will immediately be active displayed in the preview. You can now close the pop-up window.
