Synology NAS as a network drive - so it goes
- Open Explorer, click on "This PC" and press then on "map network drive".
- Now you can specify any drive letter for the network drive. Leave the field blank to allocated to Windows your NAS a random letter.
- Next, enter the path to your share. To do this, tap "\\" followed by the name of your Synology, then back to "\" and the name of the folder. So if your Synology is called "DikStation" and your shared folder "photos" is, you need to type in "\\DiskStation\photos".
- Then click on "Finish" and enter your login information. Note that the user must have access authorization for the folder.
- Now you can use your Synology. In Explorer, the NAS under "This PC" and the corresponding drive letter is displayed.
