For security, you can enable on your Synology NAS has a recycle bin. So that deleted documents can be restored. Here we show you how to do this.

Synology DiskStation: paper basket set up - step-by-step

For each of the jointly - used folder , you can have a paper basket to activate. Through the establishment of a subfolder is created. Therein, the deleted documents are stored. This data you can either remove it completely or restore them when needed.
  • Select in the control panel of the Synology DiskStation in the shared folder, the trash want to set up, and click on "edit".
  • In the "General" tab, set the enable check "recycle bin".
  • You want to allow only administrators access to the recycle bin, select the also restrict "access to only administrators."
  • Then you confirm your entries with a click on the "OK"button.
  • In the folder that you selected has now created a bin named "#recycle".
