Speedport W701v as a Wireless Repeater use - so it goes

If you want to extend the range of your Wi-Fi network, you can use the speedport W701v as a Repeater. We will show you in this practice tip on how to do this.

So it works using: speedport W701v as a Repeater

Your wireless range you can extend by using your speedport in addition to a second Router as a Repeater:
  1. Log in to the administration interface of your router, by typing the address "speedport.ip" in your Browser.
  2. If you have set a password, you must enter it now.
  3. Click start then click "configuration" and choose in the left menu the Option "network".
  4. Then click on "Repeater".
  5. Switch on the Repeater-Option by setting the hook at "A".
  6. Then enter the MAC address of the first router. You can find this in the administration interface.
  7. Save the settings with a click on "Save". For safety, you should restart both the Router once all the settings are taken over.
  8. Note that both routers must not be operated in the same wireless radio channel, otherwise the Repeater function of the speedport router works. How the two devices match, in a further practical tip.
