So it works using: speedport W701v as a Repeater
Your wireless range you can extend by using your speedport in addition to a second Router as a Repeater:
- Log in to the administration interface of your router, by typing the address "speedport.ip" in your Browser.
- If you have set a password, you must enter it now.
- Click start then click "configuration" and choose in the left menu the Option "network".
- Then click on "Repeater".
- Switch on the Repeater-Option by setting the hook at "A".
- Then enter the MAC address of the first router. You can find this in the administration interface.
- Save the settings with a click on "Save". For safety, you should restart both the Router once all the settings are taken over.
- Note that both routers must not be operated in the same wireless radio channel, otherwise the Repeater function of the speedport router works. How the two devices match, in a further practical tip.
