Raspberry Pi: Reboot
Most of the problems in the System with a reboot to fix. Before you set up your System so, you should try a restart.
- Open the Terminal of your Raspberry Pi.
- Start your System with the command "sudo shutdown-r 0" new.

If you have forgotten the password for your Raspberry Pi, you need to reset the whole System. With a few simple steps you can change your password again:
- Note: you must have physical access to your Raspberry, to be able to change the password.
- Remove the SD card with the operating system of your Raspberry and you open the card on your PC with a card reader.
- You can open the Editor in the folder "boot" in the file "cmdline.txt".
- Insert at the end of the first line of the entry "init=/bin/sh".
- Now, insert the SD card back in the Raspberry and you start this with a keyboard and screen.
- Now enter "mount-o remount,rw /" and then "passwd pi". You will be prompted for a new password for the user "pi" is entered twice.
- Finally, you must run the commands "sync" and "exec /sbin/init".
- You can turn off your Raspberry Pi and in step four inserted row to remove.
- Upon bootup, you can login now with your new password.
Raspberry Pi: operating system reset
If none of the above tips helps, you can not get around a new Installation of the operating system:
- Install the operating system on your Raspberry Pi.
- Later on, the fresh operating system to quickly restore to be able to, we advise you to Backup to create.
