General notes on the keyboard to exchange the Notebook
- Warranty: By Replacing the keyboard, and the possible Opening of the housing, the manufacturer warranty is void.
- Damage: Handle sharp objects below the keyboard, you may not touch any of the other components. These can take damage and the whole Laptop unusable.
- Tool: your tool should never be magnetic. Magnetic screwdriver could damage the Hardware with the smallest of touches.
- Current: shut down the Laptop before the shutdown and pull the power plug.
Step 1: Laptop keyboard remove
Depending on the Notebook model, the keyboard is built differently and has to be removed. Follow the instructions for your model fits. Turn off your Computer prior to the collection necessarily.
- Release: See you at the top of the keyboard are small notches that you can press with a small screwdriver in it. So open all the brackets, and the keyboard can be lifted.
- Screw: you Can remove the veneer above the keyboard, or Unscrew, do that. Then, the keyboard can simply be removed or unscrewed.
- Levering: especially many of the newer and slimmer Laptops have no screws on the housing. Here, the keyboard needs to be bypassed under certain circumstances, with a pointed object (see image).
- Caution: loose the keyboard, you should raise it just slightly. The keyboard is connected via a cable to the Laptop, which we will remove in the next step.

Step 2: Notebook keyboard see
- The keyboard is connected via a wide cable with the Computer. To release the cable, press the shutter gently with a small screwdriver to the top.
- It is usually one or two black or white plastic components. These are located either above the connector or to the left and to the right of it.
- The cable can be removed after Loosening just from the holder.
Step 3: laptop replace keyboard
A new keyboard can be ordered from special electronics-dealers and in various Online stores. The prices are usually between 50 and 80 Euro.
- Insert the cable of the new keyboard into the holder and press the plastic clips back down to secure the connection.
- Insert the new keyboard, then again as the old one was removed.
