General instructions for keyboard replacement
- Warranty: Due to the Expansion of the keyboard and the Opening of the housing, the manufacturer warranty is void.
- Tool: Ensure that your tool is magnetic. By magnetic screwdriver, you can damage the Hardware of your laptop.
- Damage: they Come with a pointed or magnetic object in a component, it can make the entire Laptop useless.
- Electricity: Turn off your Computer and disconnect the power plug.
Step 1: Notebook keyboard lift
Depending on the model, the keyboard has to be taken in a different way:
- Unhook: For many keyboards some of the notches are located at the upper edge. In this you need to use a pointed object to insert, so that the anchor points.
- Screwing: In the case of other Laptops, you can remove the bezel above the keyboard or Unscrew. Then, the keyboard is easy to lift up or Unscrew.
- Levering: you will Find no screws on the Laptop case and no depressions on the keyboard, it must be levered out with a pointed object (see image).

Step 2: Laptop keyboard remove
- The keyboard is solved, it may only be folded from top to bottom. The keyboard is connected via a cable to the Laptop, the need to remove.
- At the other end of the cable you will see a long or two small plastic clips above or to the left and to the right of the cable. These must be lifted carefully. Then, the cable makes it easy to remove.
Step 3: Backlit keyboard install
- Now you can use the new keyboard as you have removed the old one. Insert the cable into the holder and close the plastic clips again.
- You use the keyboard as intended, and restart the Computer. The keyboard should now work.
