Superfetch and Prefetch disable
The two services Superfetch and Prefetch, sort, and save data on your hard drive so that Windows and frequently used programs load faster. In the case of SSD hard drives, however, this is not useful. Under Windows 7 and 8, the functions are switched off by default for SSD disks, with Vista and XP, you must lend a Hand:

Unlike HDD drives, SSD hard drive need to be defragmented. By the Organize, and Implement the data on the hard disk, the SSD will be worn out unnecessarily.
- Simultaneously press the keys "Windows" and "E", so that in Explorer, the "my Computer" opens.
- Click with the right mouse button on the SSD drive and select "properties".
- Under the tab "Tools" click "defragment Now". Select the top right "schedule configuration".
- Click on the Button "disk select" and remove the check in front of the SSD. Then close all Windows with "OK".

The Windows Search service created steadily a list of all the files on your Computer. These can be found quickly via search in Explorer. In the case of SSD hard drives this list does not accelerate the search process, however, so the SSD is just worn out unnecessarily.
- Simultaneously press the keys "Windows" and "R", so the command "Run" will open.
- You type in there "services.msc" and confirm with "OK".
- Scroll down in the list of services down and look for "Windows Search".
- Double-click the entry and change the startup type to "Disabled".
- Confirm with "OK", it will not start the service.

HDD-hard drives-deleted files remain invisible on the hard drive. This will only be overwritten if the space is being used really. SSD drives, however, require as much free memory as possible, in order to live efficiently and for a long time.
- Simultaneously press the keys "Windows" and "R", so the command "Run" will open.
- Type in there "cmd" and confirm with "OK".
- Enter the command "fsutil behavior query disabledeletenotify" and press the Enter button.
- You will receive as a response is "0", the function is enabled already. You will receive a "1", enter the command "fsutil behavior Set disabledeletenotify 0" and confirm with "Enter".

Timestamp function and DOS file name to disable
The Timestamp function saves any creation, Modification, and Opening of a file. Since this data is not really needed, should be completed this unnecessary Write and Read operation. In addition, Windows saves the file to a DOS-compatible file name. However, since no modern program is based on DOS, you can turn off the function.
- Simultaneously press the keys "Windows" and "R", so the command "Run" will open.
- Type in there "cmd" and confirm with "OK".
- Type in the command "fsutil behavior set disablelastaccess 1" and press the Enter button.
- Then enter the command "fsutil behavior set disable8dot3 1" and confirm again with "Enter".
Disable hibernation and the life of the SSD drive extend
Wake up your PC from hibernation, you must first of all be written an enormous number of data on the hard disk. The file hyberfil.sys is usually several GB in size, and thus shortens the life of the SSD. Turn off hibernation and you to your Computer better in the future directly down:
- Simultaneously press the keys "Windows" and "R", so the command "Run" will open.
- Type in there "cmd" and confirm with "OK".
- Type the command "powercfg-H off" and confirm with the Enter key.
- The hibernate is disabled, the file hyberfil.sys deleted. So there are also a lot of free space you create by the way space.
