Android: What file systems are supported?
- External devices such as USB Sticks or hard drives you can connect to your Android device with the formats of FAT, FAT32, and NTFS.
- SD cards require the file system FAT, FAT32, or ext2. Newer Android phones may also support ext3, and ext4.
- Otherwise, you can take the support of ext3, ext4, or exFAT file system by a Root retrofitting.
