Windows with the keyboard: The most important Shortcuts
- Show Desktop: [Windows] + [D]
- Open Explorer: [Windows] + [E]
- Programs change: [Alt] + [Tab]
- Window / program close : [Alt] + [F4]
- Marked content copy: [Ctrl] + [C]
- Copied content paste: [Ctrl] + [V]
- Marked content, cut: [Ctrl] + [X]
- Select all: [Ctrl] + [A]
With the keyboard in Explorer, navigate
- [Alt] button: This button can help you in virtually any Situation. Press on your keyboard once the [Alt] key, you will be shown the Shortcuts to all the options (see image). Now you just have to press on the letters, the desired Option is selected. On Pressing Alt the mode is terminated.
- Arrow keys: the arrow keys are essential for navigating through Windows.
- Tab: Equally important is the tab button. With this you can jump, especially on websites, is always to the next item. You can find the button on the left side of the keyboard, it is marked with two parallel arrows.
- Enter and Backspace: In Explorer, navigate to these two keys in the folder in front and back.
- Right click: On the keyboard you will find right next to the space bar key and press the "AltGr" the right-click button.

Window sizes without using the mouse to adjust
- [Windows] + [arrow key left/right]: Adjusts the window to the left or right half of the screen.
- [Windows] + [arrow key up]: Maximizes the window
- [Windows] + [arrow key down]: Minimizes the window
- [Windows] + [Pos1]: Minimize all Windows except the currently used (not on every keyboard available).
- [Alt] + [F4]: Closes the current window
