Touchpad turn off automatically - so it goes
Most Laptops work with Pads, the running with the Synaptics driver. Contains a separate Option, with the help of your Touchpad to turn off automatically if you connect a USB mouse. Unfortunately, Synaptics has disabled this Option in some models. We will show you the traditional way and how the Feature will still be able to activate:
- Open the control panel, and click in "Hardware and Sound" to "mouse".
- In the tab to the very right, you now need to center the check mark next to "Disable internal pointing device when external pointing device is attached"
- Confirm with "OK". Restart your PC, the Feature is then active.

Synaptics: Auto-Off Feature for the Touchpad through the Registry to unlock
For unknown reasons, this Option is not on all Laptops with Synaptics drivers available. You can activate it however, later in the Registry:
- Press the key combination [WINDOWS] + [R] and type "regedit" in the Run window. Then press "OK".
- Open the Registry path "HKEY_CURRENT_USER/Software/Synaptics/SynTPEnh". It is best to produce a Backup of the folder "SynTPEnh". To do this, press the right mouse button on the folder and select "Export", the file, you can now save at any point.
- Double-click on the key "DisableIntPDFeature" and enter a value of "33" (without the quotation marks). The base is kept at "Hexadecimal". Confirm with "OK" and restart your PC.
- The Checkbox appears now also in the driver settings and you can proceed with the first paragraph of Fort.
- As a result of the Registry Change to the problems, you can import your Backup just by a double click again.
