What is the Windows performance index?
The performance index is nothing more than a performance evaluation of different Hardware components of your computer. Is assigned, for example, the processor or the hard drive of a Note, depending on how well Windows can run in this Hardware area.
- The components are rated on a scale of 1.0 to 9.9 (Windows 8) - the higher, the better. A mean value is sufficient for most applications but already.
- The overall assessment is determined by the lowest subscore, not the average.
- The performance index is useful, for example, to detect whether a part of your Hardware is particularly bad, and the System thus slows down.
How do I call the performance index of my computer?
The easiest way is via the search function:
- Are you looking for in the start menu or on the start screen to the "performance information" and open the "performance information and tools".
- If your System has no current rating, you need to run this first. To do this, click "assessment." But this is usually only necessary if you have changed parts of the Hardware recently.
- In the table, you can read the reviews of your individual Hardware components as well as the overall assessment.
