Windows: hard disk in EXT3 format

To format your drive under Windows to the Linux Format of EXT3, you need an additional Tool. We will show you how to do that.

So it works: Windows hard drive in EXT3 format

Note that when Formatting, all data will be lost on your hard drive.
  1. Download the free Tool "GParted Live" on your PC and install it.
  2. Then start the program.
  3. After you have set up the Tool successfully, look for the hard drive you want to format, and click with the right mouse button.
  4. In the context menu select "Format to" and "Format" and then select "EXT3". With a click on "Apply", you will format the desired hard drive in EXT3. .
