One of the most interesting Features in Windows 8.1, the direct Start is in the Desktop. We will show you how you to can skip when the tile start screen.

Click (in Desktop mode) with the right mouse button on the taskbar and select the context menu "properties".
You can switch to the tab "Navigation".
Under the category of "home" you now have a hook in front of the point "When I Sign in or Close all Apps instead of the start screen, the Desktop display" (see image).
At the bottom, click the "OK" Button, you'll be the next time you Start Windows on the Desktop.
