Usage statistics in Windows 8, disable
- Open the Charmbar by pressing [Windows] and [C]. Then click on "search" and type "privacy".
- In the search results, select the same-named program.
- Here you can prevent Windows in various categories, access to your Webcam, your microphone, or personal data. In Windows 8.1, you can find much more settings than in Windows 8. If you want to be on the safe side, you can just disable all the points.
