Windows 7 starts normally with all of the available cores. You can set the number of processors manually. How this works, read this practical tip.

CPU cores manually change

  • Type in the search bar of the start menu the command "msconfig".
  • In the "Start" tab click on "Advanced options".
  • Here you can select your number of processors manually. Then save your settings with a click on "OK" and "Apply".
  • From now on, you start Windows 7 computer with the configured number of processors.
